The Land of the Pharaohs is shaking and the world should be concerned, not just Washington politicians. However, I do not believe in a solution and there are several arguments for this. The
U.S. has abandoned, since the arrival of Mr. Obama, its global
leadership role based on three points: the crisis and its interest in
leaving it, the president's lack of convictions and the previous
experiences. The Americans are almost observers. They do not assume the role played since December 1941, after that bombing in Hawaii islands. The position to be adopted is unclear and the events command without a plan. This has already been showed in Tunisia, Libya and Syria. Egypt, although larger, will be the same or worse.
China and Russia standing by. They will veto, support, play their tricks, but nothing more. They are interested in others foreign complications , while it is not too complicated for them.
The Brussels people do not think they are capable of doing anything relevant,
because it is the European Union, which is not bound as a homogeneous
entity. The capitals are the decision makers. They will discussed, travel, speak. There is not a unique voice just a diversity of opinions between UK, France and Germany. The rest they have no leadership or ability, nor the Union as a whole.
Keeping the Suez Canal opened is a must, nobody wants to close this route. The danger for Israel is real, as always, and the consequences in the future. They will be prepared for any dilemma.
The Arab world, big word, is a balloon as the EU. Actually Saudi Arabia, leading, wants nothing more that maintaining the status quo and prevent a contagious factor. The Arab Spring is literature in the media.
The question is, if all actions taken will work.
Meanwhile, politicians fill their mouths talking about democracy. Beautiful word that is used as a toys. The Egyptian people voted for the Brothers Muslims, but these pose a danger, the great danger of an Islamic republic. Why? Who?
Because the real Islam is just a political tool to implement its laws, religion is only the means. It is a great danger for who is not in favor of these ideas. It is the continuation / repetition of what happened in Persia, with shades or different approaches, and in those countries where it has triumphed. The Egyptian military play their tricks, do not believe in the Islamic Republic and have been supported from outside so far.
People, divided, want peace, but the strength of the ideas of the scholar Sayyid Qutb are there. The greatest personality in the second half of the twentieth century. Authentic fundamentalist (actually he knew the basics), a supporter of jihad, holy war, and all the inevitable consequences, if you study Islam, it is the only way. Egyptian by birth, with some education in USA, Muslims Brotherhood leader, hanged in 1966. In prison he completed his comments to the Quran, many pages written. Bin Laden was a follower. True believers do not have many outlets and Sayyid Qutb realized the fact.

I do not think we're being honest with Egypt, with whatever is happening, once again.
