Putin (for English speaking people).

This character, Mr. Putin, emerged from the depths of Russia, can jeopardize the politicians of the Western world? In a certain way yes.

Why ? Mainly because he has clear ideas, feel strong and is confident that follows most of his citizens intentions on these issues. Besides the Crimea issue has a long/old story and the territory is populated almost by Russians entirely and perhaps, in the general plan of returning to "regain" territories will not be the only objetive at medium term. For now they are interested to get the waters back on track and will deal with the storm of much ado about nothing.

The point is that these issues serve as precedents and set trends that can be transferred to other parts of the world, because the human being and the rulers have a tendency to copy diabolical tendencies.

Then, what can be  done?  
First of all here it comes to the front page the "weakness" of the USA . The Americans have drawn their own conclusions from the recent conflicts, the lengthy Afghanistan war and Iraq war very harmful forced by the oil business. Besides the own presidential advisers only point in one direction, avoiding to get into problems involving forces on the ground, at least for a small part of a territory that matters very little. In order to justify it before the public as a defender of the freedom of nations have something to do. How  far are they willing to go?

There is also the European Union, in its short history of foreign policy only serving to very little. It is gibberish of people in the world of Brussels enjoying high economic status and actually producing very little... and nobody wants to leave any privileged position.

They can not do anything relevant because there is not  a common foreign policy, and a common voice and especially not a common will. When the moment of truth comes the big three (UK, France and Germany) are going to do just  as they please and others very little.
