Meanness and mediocrity (for English speaking people)

It's not easy to be a good journalist. Being good is always difficult and complicated. Writing daily, having something original to tell, being stylish with good education is a gift of nature.
Among football experts it is more complicated than in politics. In the professional news level everyone wants to be Bernstein or Woodward or both of them. In football-journalists, there are no such celebrities (again use the damn word), most have a kind of brain failure, which remains in the comparisons and on the other hand USA and Spain are different; different origin, history, customs, idiosyncrasies and human condition.
Two themes of my "Politics and football", Mr. Barcenas and Mr. Guardiola fill the warm summer hours discussing (in the Saxon sense of the word, not Spanish, a little bit more violent) or chatting between beers, perspiration and watching a tourist / or national (female / male) interesting.
The two summer issues have a widely varying size and they are not comparable in the consequences.
The football issue, Mr. Guardiola, is a symbol that can disturb the northeast region of Spain; which led by football supporters of the same colors, confuse apples with oranges. They may lose some matches and find excuses when the ball does not want to enter. The ex-treasurer issue, Mr. Barcenas, affects the national stability with a deep issue concerning an illegal financing mechanism in the party, a pending issue in the Spanish democracy. In USA they are not neglected and are chasing any trick. A matter of ways of doing things.
What do they have in common? The lack of clarity and twisting. For very different reasons, character, very different objectives. The political one to avoid greater evils, minimize legal damages. The other one because it is his way of being, his tactic, that he used also when he played. Surely to understand Mr. Guardiola it is not enough to be a man/woman from the northeast.
And the journalists who speak about both issues, as if they were having a discussion in a terrace enjoying life, they just try to make their points. The informers filter and tell manipulated information ; masked dark and partisan interests with more or less skills. I give you information so I want a favor.
In the end, the lack of clarity is undeniable, it seems as if only serve to hang out, something they did not the admired journalists Woodward and Bernstein.
And where is Mr. Mourinho in both cases? What would he say? or may be he already have said something about Mr.  Guardiola  in the past?
The citizen Mourinho could not be a politician; Mr. Mourinho could not be the coach of Real Madrid, because he would not win an election. Yet in the end you would know what it is happening  because Mr. Mourinho would tell you directly to your face. And that's uncomfortable.
Look, it is very old, but it seems that the end justifies the means, although some guys dress it with cheap philosophies.
