Photo Nostalgia (for English speaking people)

The photo albums capture the essence of time, even without being the snapshots of an artist. As the one who drilled the pose to get to the bottom of the individual, as Virxilio Vieitez and his natural gift.
Of course, in the movies where the movement provides a larger perspective, endless angles that prevents normal people from capturing the essence is possible too.
I refer to the photos taking by us, mere mortals. The oldest photos awkwardly placed in albums. At this time, digital photos, which we accumulate on smart phones or personal computers.
The photos are simple, plain photos, like the mirror, where sometimes we look every day. Without realizing how it changes the figure of the other side.
In a few pages you can be included years and years of a life.
If they are photos of children, since birth, we can see strong and unstoppable evolutions. If they are relatives you will discover postures, common gestures. In older people you will observe the passage of time, deterioration, and if you are lucky fortune and peace.
If you pay attention the findings could be extraordinary.
Sometimes you are horrified to recognize in the own photographs of your ancestors some aspects you do not like, their major defects. They turn against yourself like a whip hitting you where it hurts.
In the photographs of a group of people, you contemplate everybody, go over their faces, you do not remember all the names. There is always someone, at a wedding or other events, that joins the group without forming part of it as if he/she were lost and needed help.
In any case we see ourselves always younger, maybe even good-looking or vigorous. We get the opportunity to tell ourselves the depressing sentence: the good old days.
We do not realize that the album gives us a new opportunity. The chance of not repeating the same mistakes. Do not wait another time to review another album and look better than now, and till we do not have eyes to see and hands to turn pages.
Current moments are important, moments to build the future
Carpe diem.
