Someone starts whispering to the ear of a minister, a theoretical public servant, an advice to recover "La marca España", Spain mark.
-Mr. Minister, once upon a time we had one and now is gone.
And the Minister, the Foreign Affairs Minister, thinks it is a good point.
And the Minister, the Foreign Affairs Minister, thinks it is a good point.
It should be noted that when someone calls a minister "Mr. Minister", a
reaction normally occurs quasi-erotic; depends on the age ... and intelligence of the individual man/woman. I don't know if there is some kind of mental short circuit.
How good is a brand, a trade mark? It serves, if it generates good feelings, good business.
The modern world is dominated by the image, the public image. For example,
most of the celebrities who are featured in our instructional public/private tv channels are a disgrace; but apparently they made a good living being famous.
In business, image / friends / perception are vital. Therefore Spain is seeking "ambassadors", winners with good image abroad, which lend themselves to cooperate promoting a good Spaniard image.
Messi, the football player, is not selected because when he speaks is isn't understandable. Also it is not Spaniard, I forgot, and played on a team that says it is not either. No good, a shame
Apparently Celtiberians are seen as inhabitants of a land of good weather and good food. I
think the Romans thought so too, when they began operations to conquer Iberian
in the third century BC. The geostrategic situation was crucial then and we have
been conditioned throughout History. Later the Romans
discovered the weather, wine and food; their Legions also ate, drank and
slept in the open. What else could someone ask at the Mare Nostrum ?
In addition we are creative, caring and hospitable. It is as saying we are people with ideas, generous and friendly.
An American friend that has been living a long time, many years, in this bull skin, called Spain, tells me:
-Spain is a wonderful country to live and too bad to work.
All above is not enough. The same whispering to the minister says:
-Mr. Minister, we have to be perceived as modern, serious, rigorous and reliable.
The Minister replied:
- As a BMW car?
-As Rafa Nadal, Mr. Minister (he repeated again to be sure that the minister heard to be called Mr. Minister).
Another "collaborator" of the minister who does not call him Mr. Minister many times, to avoid a dangerous growth of his ego, says aloud.
- What we do in life echoes in eternity.
At the end , General Maximus Decimus Meridius was "the Spaniard".
The minister does not understand good movies
The minister does not understand good movies
Food for thought.
Do not get angry, please.
